Alain Piette is the President of SpaceForm Inc. He is responsible for the daily activities of the company, the development and management of the partnerships and the human resources development.

Born in Belgium, Mr. Piette has worked in Europe, Southern Africa, Central and South America for international corporations such as DuPont, Sherwin Williams and Kongsberg Automotive. His experiences relate to startups, turnarounds, market development and international expansion.

Alain earned and BSBA and MBA from Wayne State University.



Dr. Thomas Anderson serves as Chairman of the Board and Treasurer. Dr. Anderson is the senior director of Automation Alley and the director of the Automation Alley Technology Center. In his role as senior director, Dr. Anderson is responsible for overseeing the operations of Automation Alley along with executive director Ken Rogers. In addition, he serves as president of the Automation Alley Education & Research Institute, the Alley's new 501(c)(3) addition.

Dr. Anderson's prior position was as a strategic consultant, working with a range of clients to develop business plans, seek funding and develop process and decision tools for venture investing. He also gained 20 years experience at General Motors, leading technical research teams in fundamental research, initiating a licensing program for non-competitive applications, forming a National and International Neurotrauma research society, and developing processes to manage global cross-functional teams. He also serves on the Oakland University School of Engineering and Computer Science Advisory Council, President's Advisory Board at Walsh College, SpaceForm, Inc. Board of Directors, Michigan State University Corporate Research Park Management Board and the Beaumont Hospital Board of Trustees and Research Institute Board of Governors.

Dr. Anderson's education includes undergraduate and master's degrees in physics and math, a doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Michigan, and a master of business administration from Michigan State University.



Timothy Forbes is a Director to SpaceForm and member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Forbes is the Director of Commercialization & Licensing and has over 30 years of customer and business development experience. He has recently added the responsibility of achieving the maximum value from Delphi's technology portfolio through commercialization & licensing. In addition to his C&L role, Tim has been responsible for the creation of new ventures and leading Delphi growth efforts beyond automotive as Director of New Markets. He brings a wealth of Delphi and General Motors knowledge to his current positions; including leadership as Director of Modular Integration and Delphi's Customer Director for the GM North America Car Group. His divisional experience includes European Sales Director in Ruesselsheim, Germany that transitioned to worldwide program management. Tim earned B.S. in IE from General Motors Institute and earned his M.S. in Management as a Sloan Fellow at the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Jayson D. Pankin is a cofounder of SpaceForm and an advisor to the Company. Mr. Pankin leads Delphi Technologies, Inc.'s commercialization activities targeting spin-outs of potential "game changing technologies" into start-up companies. This includes creating internal incubators and external ventures, such as the spin-out of SpaceForm, Inc. to commercialize a disruptive metal welding technology, called Deformation Resistance Welding. SpaceForm was awarded the Michigan Technology Leader's Corporate Partnership Award for 2006. For over twenty-five years, Jayson has been a venture partner specializing in early stage and turnaround situations working with universities and Fortune 1000 corporations. He was a founder of Titan Auto, Inc., one of the largest insurance companies in Michigan. He earned his BBA in Accounting and MBA in International Business at the George Washington University.


Jack Faxon serves as an advisor to SpaceForm. Mr. Faxon graduated from Wayne State University in 1956, with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. After receiving his teaching certification, he began his professional career as a public school teacher in the Detroit School system in 1956. In 1958, he received his Masters in Education from Wayne State University and began his graduate studies at the University of Michigan. Admitted to the Doctoral Program in History, he was elected to the Michigan Constitutional Convention in 1961 and served until 1962. He received a Master of Arts Degree in History in 1963. He was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 1964 and reelected in 1966 and 1968. In 1970 he was elected to the Michigan Senate and reelected in '74, '78, '82, '86, and '90. In 1976 he was responsible for the recodification of the Michigan School Code. After over thirty years in public service, he retired at the end of his term in 1994. In 1968 Mr. Faxon founded the City School of Detroit, dba, The International School, and has served as its CEO and Headmaster to the present.


Peter W. Farner serves as an advisor to SpaceForm. Pete has been active in emerging ventures since 1984; first in the formation of Marketing Network, Inc. (in conjunction with Tier 1 auto supplier) and subsequently through a variety of successful start-up and high growth situations. He raised in excess of $50 million in venture capital as an entrepreneur.

Pete has served as Founder, CEO and in business development roles for a variety of technology, software, and service companies. In these roles he has negotiated, closed and participated in multi-million dollar consulting, equity participations, mergers, sales, and product contracts with more than a dozen Fortune 500 companies, including Anheuser Busch, GE, Compaq, and Proctor & Gamble. Augmenting these entrepreneurial experiences, Pete was a Senior VP with Ryan Partnership (a leading Westport, Connecticut based marketing consulting firm) and held management various management positions at the Stroh Brewery during a period in which the Company grew from $150 million to $1.3 billion in revenue.

Pete has served on the board of 12 privately-held companies.



Prof. C. E. "Charley" serves as an advisor to SpaceForm. Albright is a 30 year veteran in the Welding Engineering group at The Ohio State University. He teaches welding processes and materials. He received his Ph. D. in Material Science in 1988 from the University of New Mexico while a staff member at Sandia National Laboratories. He joined the Welding Engineering group at OSU in 1979, and served as head of the group from 1994 through 1998. His research areas include laser welding, solid state welding, and, more recently, directing arcs with low power lasers and deformation resistance welding.


Frank D. Stella serves as an advisor to SpaceForm. Entrepreneur, supporter of education, healthcare, business, community and church leader are all terms that could easily describe Frank D. Stella. He is Founder, Chairman, and CEO of The F.D. Stella Products Company, Detroit, designers and distributors of food service and dining equipment. The company was founded in 1946, and today leads a network of affiliates serving markets in Michigan and throughout the U.S. Frank is also Chairman and CEO of Stella International, New York, a consulting, joint venture and importing firm, Chairman of U.S. Coking and a member of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Realty Corp., Director and Director Emeritus of Covansys a NASDAQ company since inception. An alumnus of the University of Detroit College of Commerce and Finance, Frank has devoted his life to the betterment of others. His biography reads like an encyclopedia of achievements, awards and honors earned in serving the greater good.


Menachem Kimchi serves as a Technical Specialist / Automotive Market. Mr. Kimchi is responsible for managing research and development projects involved with resistance welding processes such as resistance spot welding, resistance seam, and projection welding. Another major responsibility is the weldability of steels with metallic and nonmetallic coatings. As such, he is considered to be an expert in electrode materials. He is also specializing in resistance welding high-strength steels and aluminum alloys. His responsibilities include establishing new technology areas within the resistance welding group such as high-frequency induction welding and the recently developed magnetic pulse and deformation resistance welding technologies.


Kapila Viges serves as a financial consultant. Since joining the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) in June 2006 as the Program Manager for the 21st Century Jobs Fund, Kapila Viges has taken an active role in managing the portfolio of investments to foster the advancement of technology driven companies from investigation to product development through commercialization. Kapila supports technology based businesses by identifying and educating the community about public and private resources available and facilitates partnerships with financial, industrial and academic communities. In addition to administering the State's innovative 21st Century Jobs Fund Commercialization Competition, she promotes and implements State programs that advance the goal of diversifying Michigan's economy and encouraging competitive technological innovation and education.
